Pitchfork gave Daft Punk's Discovery a 6.4, then history immediately unplugged their calculator.

“Maybe I just haven't taken enough ecstasy and horse tranquilizers to appreciate the tinny, sampled brass ensemble...”
The math aint mathing. Pitchfork looked at Discovery, an album that would become one of the load-bearing walls of 21st-century electronic music, and awarded it a 6.4 like a substitute teacher grading the moon for poor classroom participation. Not a 6. Not a 7. A 6.4: the decimal equivalent of adjusting your monocle while falling down a staircase made of glowsticks.
