The Original Review

IGN — Justin Koreis
Rated: 4/10 · Published:
“The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, however, is a game that does none of these things.”

IGN's Gollum review is a fascinating numerical crime scene because the text walks into court wearing a sandwich board that says THIS GAME DOES NOTHING, and then the score quietly hands it a 4/10 like a substitute teacher giving partial credit for writing your name in Elvish ketchup. The reviewer says the game does not delight, inform, challenge, or entertain. That is not a mixed assessment. That is a coroner checking every box except 'technically a file launched on my machine.' The math aint mathing.
