The Original Review

GameSpot — Mark Delaney
Rated: 7/10 · Published:
“If the mainline Horizon games are light RPGs, Lego Horizon is Baby’s First RPG.”

The math aint mathing. GameSpot's Lego Horizon Adventures review spends a heroic amount of time explaining that the game removed puzzles, simplified RPG systems into automatic skill trees, flattened exploration, and turned Horizon into a brightly colored hallway — then calmly parks the score at 7/10 like a crossing guard waving traffic into a sinkhole. This is a review where the evidence and the verdict are separated by a moat full of Lego crocodiles wearing PlayStation lanyards.
